Geneva March for Science 2018
It was uplifting to see more than 100 science supporters out in Geneva, Illinois today. In spite of the cold wind and dreary weather, solidarity with the multifaceted realm of science was seen at the March for Science. Citizens of all ages, including the future leaders of our Country, carried clever & poignant signs and listened with intent as Congressman Bill Foster as well as Congressional candidates Lauren Underwood & Sean Casten inspired continued citizen efforts. Lauren’s sense of timing & humor was seen when a tripod holding the IPad which was recording the event blew over: “we support the environment, including wind power!” she said. The march was shortened due to the rather nasty weather, but it seemed that all participants were warm with enthusiasm. Glad I was there!
